Library and information consultancy
Blake Information provides consultancy to a wide range of libraries and information centres. For example:
- For over ten years, Monica Blake has advised the CBA (Centre for Information on Beverage Alcohol) on diverse aspects of library management.
- When CD-ROMs were first developed, she travelled to Germany with Thompson Henry Ltd to demonstrate databases on CD-ROM in university libraries throughout the country.
- She has completed a number of projects for the British Library: "Open plan office working at St. Pancras"; "User survey of Business Information Service"; and "Desktop publishing survey".
- Since the formation of CILIP: the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals in 2002, Monica Blake has worked with CILIP Consultancy Services on the projects "Impact of co-terminosity on CILIP branches" and "Review of equal access services in East Sussex libraries".
